CODE OF CONDUCT

 

  1. Purpose

    • This Code of Conduct sets the expected standards of behaviour for everyone involved with ZING Kickboxing Academy.

    • It exists to ensure a safe, respectful, and professional training environment.

  2. Scope

    • This code applies to instructors, assistants, volunteers, members, parents, and visitors.

  3. Expected behaviour

    • Treat everyone with respect, dignity, and fairness.

    • Follow instructions given by instructors at all times.

    • Act in a way that promotes safety and wellbeing.

    • Be punctual and prepared for training.

  4. Behaviour towards children and young people

    • Always act in the best interests of the child.

    • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries.

    • Never use abusive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language.

    • Never engage in behaviour that could be misinterpreted.

  5. Physical contact

    • Physical contact must be appropriate, instructional, and necessary.

    • Contact must never be aggressive, excessive, or inappropriate.

    • Any concerns regarding contact should be raised immediately.

  6. Bullying and harassment

    • Bullying, intimidation, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated.

    • This includes verbal, physical, and online behaviour.

  7. Health and safety

    • Follow all safety rules and guidance.

    • Report injuries, hazards, or unsafe behaviour immediately.

    • Use equipment responsibly and as instructed.

  8. Social media and communications

    • Do not post content that could damage the reputation of the academy.

    • Do not share images or information about others without consent.

    • Online conduct must reflect academy values.

  9. Substance use

    • The use of drugs or alcohol before or during training is prohibited.

    • Anyone suspected of being under the influence may be asked to leave.

  10. Breaches of the code

    • Breaches may result in warnings, suspension, or termination of membership or involvement.

    • Serious breaches may involve safeguarding or external authorities.

  11. Acceptance

    • Participation in academy activities indicates acceptance of this Code of Conduct.
